Watermark PDF files without uploading them
Stamp a text watermark such as "CONFIDENTIAL", "DRAFT" or your company name onto every page of a PDF. Choose the size, color, transparency and angle, place it once in the middle or tile it across the whole page, and limit it to specific pages if you like. Everything happens in your browser with pdf-lib — the document never leaves your device.
Can I use Chinese, Japanese or emoji in the watermark?
Yes. Plain Latin text is embedded as real vector text. Other scripts are rendered to a high-resolution transparent image first and stamped onto the page, so they display correctly in every PDF viewer.
Can the watermark be removed?
The watermark is added as page content, not a separate layer, so it's not trivially removable — but determined users with PDF editing software can still edit any PDF. For stronger protection, combine it with a flattened export.
